Pitch

My video to the song ‘Superman’ by Joe Brooks is about a man who is
deeply in love with a girl but doesn’t dare tell her, as he doesn’t know if
she feels the same. He keeps trying to get the courage to talk to her but
whenever she comes near him he shy’ out, not letting the girl that he his in
love with suspect anything. At the end of the video we find out what happens,
do they give it another go or stay separated for the best? During the song
there is a lyric ‘If I could be your superman, I’d fly you to the stars and back
again’, when he is saying superman this could relate to him wanting to be her hero.

In the making of the video I will use a variety of special effects, ‘You feel my
powers running through your veins’ I intend to make it look as if the camera is
rushing through a range of colours so that it looks like we are in her veins.
The first chorus ‘If I could be your superman, I’d fly you to the stars and back
again’ the stars on green screen will be coming down to make it look like the
actor if flying up into the sky. The second time this is said he will be sat up on
the moon touching the stars and each time one is touched, it will light up.

I hope that this video will appeal to the audience as I am going to take into
account the results from my questionnaire so that the viewers get what they
want. The song is aimed at people that have the same type of relationship
troubles and are shy to announce their feelings even when they know deep
down that they are in love. They hide this emotion as they don’t know what t
o do and how it will turn out, they are afraid of what people will think instead
of caring about their own feelings, which is the most important thing. Its spread
to a wide audience, both males and females and from the ages 14-26. There
will be a website made that will link into the song and CD cover.

Lyric Ideas

Before starting my storyboard, I made ideas for some lines which i could include in my video. The lines with ** and then in brackets are the ideas that i hav included. I made this to help me with my storyboard so that i have something in mind.

After printing out my questionnaire I asked my media class to fill it in and I took notes of the answers and recored the results so that I know what the audience want and expect to see in a video. Also to see if they are aware with the artist and genre. RESULTS TO FOLLOW

Logo

Here is my logo for the song that i am doing, it includes the artists name 'Joe Brooks' and the song title 'Superman'. When designing this I took into mind the lyrics of the song, 'id fly you to the stars and back again' is a lyric from the song which is repeated throughout, so i therfore included a star in the logo as the outline. I also downloaded a font for the word 'Superman' so that it looked abit more professional and detailed.
